ENERGIZE
ONE ANOTHER.
Many of us who only occupy the
pew may have great talents but we must work to unlock this potential. Talents
that are unused will fade away. (Mathew 25:28). Therefore we must find the
spark of light within the dormant member. Each of us can find great and powerful
things to do to further the kingdom of Christ; but sometimes we just discount
them as insignificant and invaluable. We must come to the realization that
through the power that works within us (Ephesians 3:20) we can accomplish much
for the Lord.
It is important that we identify
whose power is at work in us. We never accomplish anything for God all by
ourselves. It is Christ who is at work in us and who works through us. He
provides strength to continue as any signs of weariness invades (2 Corinthians 4:6).
The power is in the message or
The Word. It is not important that we speak with eloquence of speech or that we
have two or three degrees before we feel competent enough to evangelize. When
we realize that we are only the vessel or the instrument for the divine
message; it humbles us to be counted worthy to share with people the simple
message of Christ and His gift of salvation and eternal life.
True Christian exampleship has a
strong impact on our communities. Beloved, if we could only breathe and think,
we have the ability to teach the lost in our communities. Exampleship shows how
to live by obedience and love; teaching shows how to begin to live by becoming
a Christian. We should, with love and patience; always encourage those who
haven’t been very active in the past to "test the waters" outside the
padded pew. By taking little steps at a time, no one will become frightened.
The beauty and effectiveness of teaching what God’s plan is for our salvation
and our lives is in the simple method of applying His word. It empowers others
to accept the word, to live for Christ and to serve Christ in small and humble
ways while becoming a beacon of light for the lost.
Each one of us in the family of
God can motivate and energize one another to love and to good works (Hebrews
10:24 & 25).
